Carbon Reduction Plan 2024

Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

CCL Solutions fully support the UK Government’s target of Net Zero Carbon by 2050. As Consultants we fully understand the importance of tackling the climate emergency head on. As a company that has grown each year since our launch, we are very cognisant of our increasing carbon footprint. We have therefore fully embraced carbon reporting and creating a range of initiatives to reduce carbon in every facet of our business.

We are committed to ongoing review and strengthening the pace and scale of our Net Zero ambitions as we continue to experience business growth year on year. That is why CCL Solutions have pledged to achieve Net Zero Carbon in our own operations by 2030.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline Year: 2023
Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations:
CCL Solutions are in a growth phase, currently growing 10-25% per year based on our turnover, therefore, our overall emissions are increasing as our company footprint expands. We are still investing heavily and implementing many projects and targets across the business to achieve our Net Zero target even as our carbon output is increasing in the short term. We are members of the Supply Chain Sustainability School which offers a diverse range of training and carbon initiatives to reduce our carbon further.
Baseline year emissions:
EMISSIONS TOTAL (tCO2e)
Scope 1 3.7
Scope 2 0.61
Scope 3* 27.37
Total Emissions 31.68

*Our Scope 3 emissions are currently under review for us to more accurately calculate our total output. As we are a firm of consultants that do not manufacture or produce products, our Scope 3 emissions are minimal and mainly arise from employee commuting.

Carbon Reduction Projects

We have implemented the following environmental processes and projects to reduce our carbon output and achieve our Net Zero targets:

  • Electric vehicle charging facilities installed at our office locations
  • Green travel plans including cycle to work programme benefits for staff
  • Environmental/Carbon Awareness Training programme being developed for all CCL Solutions operatives
  • Negotiating with our landlords to explore renewable energy providers and carbon reduction measures for our office facilities
  • Car allowance packages will mandate electric vehicles by 2029 for all operational staff
  • Promotion of the Supply Chain Sustainability School to our partners to help them with their own Net Zero journey
  • Flexible working options available for operational staff along to reduce un-necessary travel, with flexi time to avoid commuting in rush hour
  • Liaising with clients to instigate more remote working on the projects and frameworks we are appointed to reduce our primary source of C02 which is travelling to and from meetings
  • Maximise public transport usage where possible
  • Actively seeking partnerships to best recycle our old office and IT equipment.

CCL Solutions is fully committed to minimising our impact on climate change and mitigating the business risks climate change presents by developing plans to manage them. These are underpinned by our ISO14001 certified Environmental Management System.
